San Luis Potosí has emerged as one of the key drivers of industrial growth in Mexico during January 2024. According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), the state recorded a remarkable 10.2% increase in industrial activity, placing it second nationwide, only behind Oaxaca. This growth surpasses traditionally strong states such as Querétaro, Nuevo León, and Aguascalientes.
The Economic Development Secretariat (Sedeco) of San Luis Potosí attributes this success to the state’s robust economic policy, focused on attracting investments and strengthening infrastructure. In January 2024, the state’s manufacturing industries showed a real percentage increase of 15.4% compared to the previous year, making a significant contribution to the country’s industrial growth.
Thanks to these strategies, San Luis Potosí is consolidating its position as an industrial leader in Mexico, standing out for its sustained growth and its ability to attract investments in key sectors such as automotive and infrastructure development. The region’s economic future promises continued and robust growth in the coming months.
